- I am Japanese. I am not good at English language.

Please see "Readme.txt" (It is expected that "About Ootake" will be clicked
from the "Windows Start Menu") about the start method and attention in use,
etc.
- If your personal computer is not fast, push "Light(Fast)" button on the
  setting screen (appear with "Setting" button under the left after Ootake
  starts). Afterwards, push "Set" button. Then, operation becomes light(
  fast) set.
- If the noise mixes with the sound, please select "Light PSG" of "Audio"
  menu and increase the amount of buffer by "Audio->Audio Buffer Size"
  menu.
- If the "ZIP file" of rom-image is opened, "UNZIP32.DLL" is necessary.

- The image file that sucked out "CD-ROM2 SYSTEM CARD" is necessary for the
  start of the CD-ROM games. All almost the games start if the system card of
  ver3.01 is used.

Windows settings are required to run Ootake with the same operational feeling
as a real machine. If the Windows graphic driver is set to perform vertical
synchronization (V-Sync), it will interfere with the Game's V-Sync and cause
"Display Lag".

<Setting method on Windows for Eliminate Display-Lag>
Right-click on an empty area of the desktop and open Settings (Control Panel)
of the video chip maker(NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and set "Vertical sync" in "3D(
game) settings" to "Off".
* These settings can be made for each game with NVIDIA and AMD.

With GeForce, if Windows10/8, set "Low Latency Mode" to "Off" at the same time
(necessary to reflect the vertical sync off).
For Windows7(Non-Aero) and earlier, it is recommended to set "Low Latency
Mode" to "Ultra" to further reduce the display lag.

"Ultra" at "Low Latency Mode" is recommended for Win7(non-Aero).
On the contrary, please pay attention that "Off" at "Low Latency Mode" is
recommended for Win10/8 (in case of Ootake).
* This situation may change depending on future driver updates.

To use it more happily
- Please play connecting with a good speaker, and emphasizing the high pitched
  sound. Then, it is possible to play hot by a wavy sound source of PC-Engine
  sounding in the mind.
- It is possible to play hot by using a high-quality JoyPad (one that it is
  easy to operate and the reaction is good) even in action game & shooting
  game.

The menu comes out when "Esc" key (or "Alt" key or "Mouse Click") is pushed
after the game is started. This is a manual of the menu.

It explains sequentially from the left side of the menu.
"[]" is a mark of the shortcut keyboard.

*File
  Open [O]		"ROM image file" is opened.
  Play FullInstalled	CD-Game imported by "CD-ROM->CD Install->
          CD-Game [P]	CD FullInstall" menu is opened.
  CD Change [F1]	(When CD-game is played) -> Other CD-game is played.
  (CD Play [Ctrl+F1])	(When HuCard-game is played) -> CD-game is played.
  Configure		The shortcut key for "Open Rom image file & Play 
      Open Button	FullInstalled CD-Game" is changed. The allocation to
			the joypad is also possible. Use this menu when you
			want to use the [O][P]key(default) because of other
			operations, too.
  -------------------
  Set Resume		The game that puts the check in this menu starts from
			the last continuation when starting next. (Every time,
			when ending, it saves by the automatic the state.)
			Moreover, states of the "TurboButton" setting and the
			"CPU Speed" setting , etc. return. (The best setting
			at each game can be preserved.)
			* When "reset" or "the state is loaded" in the resume,
			  the resume is automatically released.
  Auto Check		When each game is started, the check is put on
         "Set Resume"	"Set Resume" menu in the automatic operation.
  -------------------
  Save State [S]	Present play is preserved as it is. It is saved to the
			"save" folder in the installed folder. The size of the
			file is normally(Hu-Card game) about 1.5MB. That of
			CD-ROM game is about 2.7MB. In case of the game for
			the "Arcade Card" it is about 4.7MB.
			And, the numerical value at the menu is "the elapsed
			time from the game start" of the present save data.
			* At the moment that this save state (including
			  numbered save) was done, the file of the backup
			  ram(the file name is in "<game name>_ bram.dat". It
			  is in the "bram" folder.) is overwritten.
			  Overwriting process of the backup ram file is also
			  performed at "game switching (Ootake quiting)".
  Save State another
      Save State #1-20	It saves with a numbered file from #1 to #20. Use it
			when you want to leave the saving in more parts.
  Save State another II
     Save State #21-50	It saves with a numbered file from #21 to #50.
  Save State another III
     Save State #51-80	It saves with a numbered file from #51 to #80.
  Load State [L]	The game is restarted from the saved place. And, the
			numerical value at the menu is "the elapsed time from
			the game start" of the save data.
			* When this load state (including numbered load) is
			  performed, the data of the backup ram at the time of
			  save state is also read.
  Load State & Pause	It loads it while stopped temporarily. Use it when you
			save to other numbers again.
  Load State another
      Load State #1-20	A numbered file from #1 to #20 is loaded and the game
			is restarted.
  Load State another II
     Load State #21-50	A numbered file from #21 to 50 is loaded and the game
			is restarted.
  Load State another III
     Load State #51-80	A numbered file from #51 to 80 is loaded and the game
			is restarted.
  Configure		The shortcut key for "SaveState & LoadState" is
      Save&Load Button	changed. The allocation to the joypad is also
			possible. Use this menu when you want to use the
			[S][L]key(default) because of other operations, too.
  Open "save" Folder	Use it when you want to back up the saving file.
  Customize		You can change the save destination folder for Save
	"save" Folder	State. Use it when you want to share save files with
			two or more PCs (shared folder).

  Open "bram" Folder	Use it when you want to back up the
			"Battery backup RAM" file.
  Open "mb128" Folder	Use it when you want to back up the
			"Memory Base 128(Preservation device put on the market
			in Japan)" file.
  Customize		
     "bram" & "mb128"
               Folder	
    Same location	You can change the save destination folders for "bram"
      as the "save"	and "mb128" to the same location as the state save
               Folder	folder ("save" folder). Use it when you want to share
			save files with two or more PCs (shared folder).

  Exit [Alt+F4]		Ootake is ended.

*Capture
  -------------------
  Start Recording	The record of the pad operation is begun momentarily
		[F5]	at the time of executed this menu. The record is ended
			if this menu is executed again, and the record of the
			pad operation is preserved.
			* At the CD-ROM games, it is likely not to be
			  reproduced correctly because of the CD access time.
  Start Recording another
    Start Recording	The pad operation is recorded with a numbered file
                 #1-10	from #1 to #10. Use it when you want to record the
			operation in two or more parts.
    Attention at	Notes when the operation record is done in the CD-ROM
          CD-ROM Games	games are displayed.
			* At the CD-ROM games, it is likely not to be
			  reproduced correctly because of the CD access time.
			  (I want to improve it in the future.)
  Move "Default Record Data"
    Move "Default	The record data file of default is converted into a
         Record Data"	numbered file of #1-#10. After it records in default (
              to #1-10	F5 key), use it when you want to make it a standing
			matter.
  Play Record [F6]	The game is restarted from the place where the
			recording began. And, the recorded pad operation is
			automatically reproduced. 
			The pad cannot be operated while reproducing.
			The reproduction is released when this menu is
			executed again while reproducing, and it comes to be
			able to operate the pad.
			* The data of an old version might not be correctly
			  reproduced.
  Play Record another
     Play Record #1-10	A numbered file from #1 to #10 is played.
    Attention at	Notes when the operation record is done in the CD-ROM
          CD-ROM Games	games are displayed.
			* At the CD-ROM games, it is likely not to be
			  reproduced correctly because of the CD access time.
			  (I want to improve it in the future.)
  Open "record"
              Folder	Use it when you want to back up the recotding file.
  -------------------
  Output Screenshot	The screenshot (game screen) is preserved with the BMP
	[PrintScreen]	file format. And, it is possible to execute it also
			by [PrintScreen]key of the keyboard.
  Size
    Size x1		It is saved with one time size (299x224).
    Size x2		It is saved with twice size (598x448).
    Size x3		It is saved with three times size (897x672).
    Size x4		It is saved with four times size (1196x896).
    Size x5		It is saved with five times size (1495x1120).
    Size		It preserves it with the stretch (enlargement) not
     Non-Stretched(x1)	done. The size is one time (256x224,352x224 etc.
			different at each game).
			* The Screenshot Size changes according to it if the
			  over scanning area is displayed and if the stretch
			  setting has been changed.
    Readme About Size	Notes of the save size of the screenshot are
			displayed. The content is as follows.
			* If this size setting is set more large than "Screen
			  playing present game", it is saved with the size of
			 "Screen playing present game". Please enlarge the
			  play screen by the "Screen" menu when you want to
			  save it with large size. (This is a specification
			  for the speed valuing.)
    ------------------
    Same as		The screenshot is made by using the drawing mode
          Playing Mode	playing now.
    Special Scanlined	The scanning line is put in the screen on lengthwise
			and crosswise. Neither burr (jaggy) nor scumble stands
			out when the screen is expanded. It is easy to see the
			string and the character.
    TV Scanlined	The horizontal scanning lines are put on the screen.
			And a few shadeing off is put. As a result, the
			atmosphere of a real machine that outputs the video to
			the television is reproduced.
    Horizontal		The horizontal scanning lines are put on the screen.
	    Scanlined	This might be the most high-quality at the size of x2.
    Horizontal		This is a sharp screen than "Horizontal Scanlined".
	  Scanlined 2	Jagged exists.
    Horizontal		This is a sharp screen than "Horizontal Scanlined 2".
	  Scanlined 3	Jagged exists.
    Horizontal		This is the mode for speed priority. It is a sharp
	  Scanlined F	screen, but the jagged exists.
    Non-Scanlined	This is a screen display that doesn't put the scanning
			line.
    Non-Scanlined 2	This is a sharp screen than "Non-Scanlined".
    Non-Scanlined TV	This is a smooth screen than "Non-Scanlined".
  Open "screenshot"	The preservation folder of screenshot is opened with
               Folder	MyComputer.
  -------------------
  Configure		The shortcut key for "Screenshot" is changed. The
    Screenshot Button	allocation to the joypad is also possible. Use this
			menu when you want to use [PrintScreen]key(default)
			because of other operations, too.
  -------------------
  Save to		
     "screenshot"	When here is selected, the screenshot is preserved in
               Folder	"Screenshot" folder in the Ootake folder.
  Show Screenshot	When here is selected, the save dialog window is
          Save Dialog	displayed at screenshot saving.
  -------------------
  Output WAV File	PSG (wave memory sound + noise sound) can be output to
	       (PSG)	the WAV file. The recording starts when this menu is
			executed. Afterwards, when paused ("Esc" key or mouse
			click), the recording ends. - Whether the Fade Out is
			processed when the recording is ended is asked.
  Output WAV another	"ADPCM voice" or "CD-DA" can be output to the WAV
			file, too. It is possible to record by higher tone
			quality when recording with few channels ("only PSG"
			or "only ADPCM", etc.).
  Setting of
	  Output WAV
    Output WAV Start Normal	It is a setting that usually starts recording.
				It waits automatically in case of a no sound
				until the sound is generated.
    Start at the Next Tune	It is a setting that records "The Next Tune"
				of the tune playing now. At the "hes file",
				"Execute Output menu -> Play next tune" is
				effective to record beautifully.
    -------------------------
    Add "no sound part"		If the "hes file (PCE sound file)" is opened,
      when going to Next Tune	it automatically becomes this mode.
      			(hes)	When the tune is selected with I-button or
      				II-button, the no sound time of 0.5 seconds is
      				inserted. Combine with "Start at the Next
      				Tune" setting (above-mentioned), and it is
      				effective to record beautifully.
    -------------------------
    Add "no sound part"		The "no sound part" is added to beginning(
	     to begin and end	0.5sec) and ending(2sec) of the tune. When
				continuously listening to the WAV file,
				atmosphere is improved. And it becomes easy to
				listen.

  Play FullInstalled	CD-Game imported by "CD-ROM->CD Install->
          CD-Game [P]	CD FullInstall" menu is opened.

  CD Install
    CD FullInstall	The all(data & audio) track of "CD-ROM game playing
        (Recommend)	now" is installed as a file in the hard disk drive.
			The Installed CD-Game can be started by using "Play
			FullInstalled" menu etc. As a result, there is no time
			when the CD board is replaced.
			And, the CD-access processing is sped up. Especially,
			use it in "Sherlock Holmes" and "Ys IV", etc.(games
			that need high speed access).
			* Please use "Image File(CUE+ISO+WAV)" carefully.
			  Because distributing "Image File(CUE+ISO+WAV)" is
			  illegal. Please avoid direct sunshine and moisture,
			  and keep "Mastering CD-ROM" importantly.
    ------------------
    CD UnInstall	The installed files of "CD-ROM game playing now" is
  			uninstalled. * If you change the destination folder
  			for CD-Install, this menu will be invalid in order to
  			avoid the risk of deleting the wrong file.
    Open "install"	
              Folder	Use it when you want to confirm the installed file.
    Customize		The save destination folder for CD-FullInstall can be
      "install" Folder	changed. * If you change this, "CD UnInstall" menu can
			not be used. (Please manually delete CD-Installed
			files).

  x:(drivea that can	The CD-ROM drive used is selected.
      be used [Max10])	"PC Engine" is reset when selecting it, and the
        		 CD-game is started.

  View CD Read Access	The status of CD-ROM access (seek & read) is
			displayed. Currently it is only in window mode, it is
			displayed on the right side of "Ootake" at the upper
			left of the window.
 ---------------------
  CD Change [F1]	(When CD-game is played) -> Other CD-game is played.
  			(When HuCard-game is played) -> CD-game is played.
  CD Change (No Reset)	CD-ROM is replaced without resetting "PC Engine".
  			Use it in "CD Battle Hikari no Yuushatachi".
			You can also replace the CD-ROMs of "Wizardry 1 & 2"
			and "Wizardry 3 & 4" here if both are CD Full
			Installed ("CD-ROM-> CD Install" menu).
  [F1]key for		When "F1" key is pushed, "CD Change (No Reset)" is
  "CD Change(NoReset)"	executed when the check is put in here.

  Set "System Card"	The ROM-image file of "System Card" is changed.

          Card" image
    Set "Old System	The ROM-image file of "Old System Card (v1.0-2.1)"
           Card" image	can be set. This is necessary in "Juuouki (J)"
    Set "Games Express	The ROM-image file of "Games Ecpress CD Card" can be
        CD Card" image	set. This is necessary in some games.
  "Juuouki (J)" Use	When "Juuouki (J) (CD-ROM version)" is started, the
     "Old System Card"	system card of "Old System Card" is used.
			* "Juuouki (J)" operates correctly only with the
			  system card of an old version(v1.0-v2.1). Moreover,
			  "Juuouki (J)" of an initial lot operates only with
			  the system card of v1.0(oldest).

  Play with		If this check is put, the "Old System Card" is used.
       Old System Card	The setting can be done with a little above menu.
  Play with		If this check is put, the "Games Express Card" is
       Express CD Card	used. The setting can be done with a little above
			menu.
  Play with		If this check is put, it can be operated in the state
       Non ARCADE Card	of "ARCADE Card (mass buffer memory card of Japan)
			none".
  Play with		If this check is put, it can be operated in the state
       Backup-RAM Full	of "Backup-RAM is Full". Use it when you want to see
			the warning screen of each game.
 ---------------------
  Help			The explanation of the method of starting the CD-ROM
			game is displayed.

*CPU
  Write Memory		While executing PCE(TG16) software, the operation test
			can be done by rewriting the content of memory(RAM,
			ROM) of PCE(TG16).
			The input method of command is
			"<address 6 digits[Hex]>:<value 0-255[Dec]>".
			Add "+"(positive sign) at the end of the command if
			you want to keep writing the value (Invincibility
			command etc.).
			Add "0x" before the value if you want to input the
			value by the hexadecimal number.
  Attention
    Read Attention	Notes of "Write Memory" menu are displayed.
      of this		The content is as follows.
       "Write Memory"	- This "Write Memory" menu can be used to execute a
                 Menu	  so-called cheat command. For instance, BGM can be
			  appreciated without being obstructed to the sound
			  effect (attack sound and jump sound, etc.) by using
			  the time limitation release and the invincibility
			  command etc. (Within the range of the personal
			  hobby)
			- On the other hand, a cheat command when using it by
			  "Purpose to clear the game easy" is not recommended.
			  Because, it becomes a game balance that the game
			  production person doesn't intend, and the interest
			  of the game is surely lost. Moreover, it becomes
			  impossible to talk about the work with "person who
			  enjoyed it by normal play". Therefore, I think that
			  playing only by normal-play(non-cheat-play) will be
			  consequentially happy (It can deeply enjoy playing
			  the game).
			- "GAME OVER" should be welcome. Even if it cannot be
			  cleared, the game is happy. I think that it is a
			  most wonderful point of games (especially, in the
			  retro games). Personally, if you can use this menu
			  in the purpose of the research and development, I am
			  glad.

  Reset [F1]		PC engine is mechanically reset.
  Run [Esc]		The menu is shut.
  Advance One Frame	The emulator is advanced only by one
		 [F2]	frame (1/60 seconds).
  Configure Pause	The button (or, key) for Pause is set. Set this if do
	       Button	pause with a JoyPad.
  -------------------
  MoreEarly		When this is selected when there is a flicker in the
        RasterTiming	division scroll, it is likely to become beautiful.
  Early RasterTiming	Ditto. It is timing that is a little later than
			"MoreEarly".
  Normal RasterTiming	This is a normal setting. [BackSpace] key is shortcut
  		 [BS]	key of this. * In a part of game, it becomes not
  		        "Normal" but the best set.
  Late RasterTiming	When this is selected when there is a flicker in the
			division scroll, it is likely to become beautiful.
  MoreLate		
        RasterTiming	Ditto. It is timing that is later than "Late".
  -------------------
  Invalidate		This is compulsorily operated with "Real CD-ROM".
        "CD Install"	"CD Installed" file ("CD-ROM->CD (Full)Install" menu)
			is not used. (for operation test)
			- It returns when reset ([F1] key) or other games are
			  started.
  -------------------
  Power-On Black	When this menu is checked, the state of a television
        Screen Effect	at power-on (the screen display passes about one
  			second) is simulated. (default)
  -------------------
  Swap STRIKE & BALL	In Baseball Games, the ball count is displayed in
			order of BSO (BALL, STRIKE, and OUT) when there is a
			check in this. (default. the display positions is
			swapped in real time with Ootake)
			Correspondence Games: "Power League (World Class
			Baseball (U)) Series", "World Studium Series", "The
			Pro Yakyuu Series", "Korega Pro Yakyuu Series",
			"Naxat Studium", "Eikan ha Kimini", "Baseballer",
			and "ROM ROM Stujium".
  -------------------
  Sprite Layer		If this check is removed, the sprite character is made
			non-display. This is a function for soft development.
  BG Layer		If this check is removed, the BG character is made
			non-display.
  Sprite2(forSG) Layer	For SuperGrafx mode. If the check is removed, the
			sprite character of second VDC is made non-display.
  BG2(forSG) Layer	For SuperGrafx mode. If the check is removed, the BG
			character of second VDC is made non-display.
  Configure Sprite&BG	This is a function for the developer. The button (
              Buttons	keyboard is also available) that switches non-display
			of sprite and BG is set.
  -------------------
  Super Grafx Mode	It switches to the "SUPER GRAFX" mode by hand power.
  -------------------
  Perform SpriteLimit	"Limitation of the number of sprite" sideways arranged
			is reproduced. 
			Use it when you want to reproduce "Flicker" that
			happens by a real machine.

*Setting
  Screen
    Start Window mode	When the game starts, it starts in the window mode.
    Start FullScreen	When the game starts, it starts in the full-screen
                  mode	mode.

    Start Overscan	If you check this box, you can eliminate the black
               TV Mode	belts on the left and right edges of the window (
                	similar to Ootake before v2.91). However, 6 dots at
                	the bottom of the screen are hidden to maintain the
                	aspect ratio. Originally, "6 dots at the bottom of the
                	screen" is rarely used for important displays, and
                	most games can be displayed without any problem. I
                	think that many old CRT televisions for home use had
                	many displays in this range. Use this when you want to
                	play in that atmosphere or when you want to capture
                	with the left and right filled when capturing the
                	screen.
			* This setting is effective at the next startup, too.
			  If you want to temporarily set this screen mode, use
			  the "Screen->Overscan TV Mode" menu.
    ------------------
    Start Adjust TV
        Top-Position
       Shift 0dot-4dot	In Overscan TV Mode, you can fine-tune the vertical
			display start position of the screen. Use this for
			games that have a significant display on the bottom.
			* This setting is effective at the next startup, too.
			  If you want to temporarily set this screen mode, use
			  the "Screen->Adjust TV Top-Position" menu.
    ------------------
    Start Overscan	Over scanning area (part not seen in edge usual TV of
             Customize	the cathode-ray tube almost) display setting of
			default (The game starts) is changed. Initialization
			is non-display.
			* When the game is made, the over scanning area
			  assumes the possibility of not seeing it. There is
			  no problem even if it doesn't see it. Therefore, 
			  in some games, the noise image is displayed in the
			  over scanning area.
      Show Overscan	
            Top&Bottom	Top and bottom over scanning area is displayed.
      Show Overscan	
                   Top	Only top over scanning area is displayed.
      Show Overscan	
                Bottom	Only bottom over scanning area is displayed.
      Show Overscan	
                  None	Top and bottom over scanning area is not displayed.
      ----------------
      Show Overscan	
            Left&Right	Left and right over scanning area is displayed.
      Show Overscan	
                  None	Left and right over scanning area is not displayed.

      Overscan Height	The height of top and bottom over scanning area is
             8dot-1dot	set. Use it in the game from which the noise is seen
			in the area.
    Use Black Belt	If this check is put, the size of Ootake-window can be
          when Hide	maintained when the over scanning area is concealed (
              Overscan	"F12" key or "Screen->Show Overscan Area" menu).
              		* At "Start Overscan Customize" menu (above one), if
              		  it is set that the over scanning area is not
              		  displayed, this menu is invalid.
    ------------------
    Un-Pause Window	If the check on this menu is removed, when focus moves
              Inactive	to the window of other applications, Ootake is paused.
			When the personal computer that room is not in the
			speed is used, remove this check.
    ------------------
    Window Always       The window of Ootake is always made to become
             Activated  actively.
    Window Actibated    
     Non-automatically  The window of Ootake is not automatically activated.
    ------------------
    Direct3D (Default)	"Direct3D" of Windows is used to draw. (default)
			In a lot of personal computer environments, at the
			image quality and speed, it might be best drawing
			method.
    DirectDraw (Old)	"DirectDraw" of Windows is used to draw. (for old PC)
			The image quality and the speed fall in Windows Vista
			(or later) and recent personal computer when this is
			used.
			Low resolution (256x240 etc.) that is not supported by
			Direct3D can be used. Use this when you want to
			display dot-by-dot with a cathode ray tube CRT
			display.
			* Window size [x5] is not supported. In addition, the
			  image quality may not be as expected in some image
			  quality modes (such as blurring) that can be set
			  with the "Screen-> Mode" menu.
    ------------------
    Setting DirectDraw
      Use VideoCard	The memory in the video card is used for the drawing
                Memory	processing. The burr is unremarkable and high-speed.
      Use System	The system memory of the personal computer is used for
                Memory	the drawing processing. The burr stands out a little.
			However, the image is Sharp. *When the screen is
			enlarged, processing becomes heavy. And, V-Sync might
			not work either (Chiefly at full-screen mode).
      Use System Memory	
	   Only Window	The system memory is used only at window mode.
    ------------------
    Disable Aero	With Windows7/Vista, "Windows Aero (desktop that can
  	  (Recommend)	be transparently processed etc.)" is invalidated. As a
			result, the delay of the display disappears.
			This is strongly recommended. Because the reaction
			when the JoyPad is operated is good. (Default)
			- When Ootake is closed, Aero returns to the original
			  condition automatically.
    Use Aero		With Windows7/Vista, "Windows Aero (desktop that can
    (Time-Lag exists)	be transparently processed etc.)" is made effective.
			However, the display delay of some frames happens.
			As a result, the reaction after the joy pad is
			operated is delayed.
			In the Action and Shooting game, it greatly influences
			the interest of the game (and your score). Therefore,

  CD-ROM
    Start Fast CD	When the game starts, it starts in the "Fast CD" mode.
    Start Real		When the game starts, it starts with the check on
    	   (Slow)CD	"Fast CD" removed. The access wait at the real machine
			level enters.
    Start Previous	The previous setting of "Fast CD" is used.

    Adjust BGM Repeat	When "Sorcerian" is played, the repeat timing of CD-DA
     (Sorcerian)	sound (time of silence) is optimized.
    Auto Skip Demo	When "R-TYPE Complete CD" is started, press [RUN]
      [start keep RUN]	button for a long time(until irem's logo appears), and

	  (Gradius II)	with a real machine) to which the laser doesn't
			flicker automatically. Moreover, the sound effect is
			set to the stereo.
			If this setting is changed while playing, the setting
			is reflected after resets([F1]key) Ootake.
			If soft reset (SELECT+RUN button) is done after it
			starts, it becomes a normal start (flicker mode &
			monaural setting).
    Cut Innaccurate	In "Tenshi no Uta II", "Rayxanber II", "Eikan ha 
      CD-DA Track	Kimini" and "Ginga Fukei Densetsu Sapphire", this
        Head Noise	solves the problem that large noise exists on the head
      (for some games)	of some audio tracks (* this noises exists with a real
			PC Engine). This obvious unwanted noise is cut and
			played cleanly.
			* This problem is probably caused by a CD-ROM
			  production mistake at that time (the sound of the
			  end of the previous track is mixed at the beginning
			  of the track).
  Input
    Check Pad LR (or	When this check is marked, when playing with a
    UD) Simultaneously	keyboard, if Right-Key and Left-Key (Or, Up-Key and
                  Push  Down-Key) is pressed at the same time, only "Direction
			pushed at the end" is input. As a result, the action

			according to the kind of the video card.
    TV Scanlined 2	This is a blur screen than "TV Scanlined". This is
			effective when your PC is connected to a large-screen
			TV.

	    Scanlined	The horizontal scanning lines are put on the screen.
    Horizontal		This is a sharp screen than "Horizontal Scanlined".

    Non-Scanlined 2	This is a sharp screen than "Non-Scanlined".
    Non-Scanlined 3	This is a soft screen than "Non-Scanlined".
    Non-Scanlined TV	This is a smooth screen than "Non-Scanlined 3".
    Non-Scanlined TV 2	This is a blur screen than "Non-Scanlined TV". This is
			effective when the window size is x4 or more (high
			resolution that is x4 or more at full screen).

    MonoColor Mode	If this check is put, it becomes a monochrome screen
			mode. The processing is heavier than usually. If the
			personal computer not fast is used, use "FullScreen 
			Mode".
			(Moreover, it has the extra function. Select with
			 [Ctrl] key is pressed, and the Green Display mode can
			 be used.)

    for Video Capture	Place a black band around the game screen and set the
        Mode (640x480)	window resolution to 640x480. Please use it when you
			capture the game screen of Ootake with video capture
			software. By capturing at a nice size of
			640x480(480p), the video can maintain high image
			quality even when uploaded to YouTube etc.
			* In this mode, the "Screen-> Remove Lag 1F" menu
			  setting is automatically disabled(0F), reducing the
			  load when using the video capture software. If you
			  want to prioritize input-lag countermeasures, you
			  can manually re-enable (the operation of the video

    for Video Capture	Place a black band around the game screen and set the
        Mode (960x720)	window resolution to 960x720. The rest is the same as
			the 640x480's menu above, including notes.

               0%-80%	jet-black scanning lines.
			- When the value of this "Scanline Density" is set
			  small, the gamma value is optimized (bright). This
			  can be set at "TV Scanlined" or "Horizontal 
			  Scanlined".

    Optimize Gamma	With Scanlined screen mode, This will optimize the
			overall brightness (gamma value). Please have usually
			put a check. Otherwise, dark characters will be
			difficult to see.
  Gamma
    Gamma 0.94 - 1.44	The tone of the screen is changed by setting the gamma
			value. The larger the value is, the gentler color.
			- If Gamma is set small, please set Brightness
			  greatly. (Because it must not become difficult to
			  see the character of the shade part.)
  Brightness		The slight brightness of the screen is changed. The

                	most games can be displayed without any problem. I
                	think that many old CRT televisions for home use had
                	many displays in this range. Use this when you want to
                	play in that atmosphere or when you want to capture

                	screen.

      Shift 0dot-4dot	In Overscan TV Mode, you can fine-tune the vertical

  About Recommend	Displays the Windows (video card control panel) setup
        V-Sync Setting	method for "realizing low display-lag" with V-Sync.
			The following is the contents.
			
			Windows settings are required to run Ootake with the
			same operational feeling as a real machine. If the
			Windows graphic driver is set to perform vertical
			synchronization (V-Sync), it will interfere with the
			Game's V-Sync and cause "Display Lag".
			
			<Setting method on Windows>
			Right-click on an empty area of the desktop and open
			Settings (Control Panel) of the video chip maker(
			NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) and set "Vertical sync" in "3D(
			game) settings" to "Off".
			* These settings can be made for each game with NVIDIA
			  and AMD.
			
			With GeForce, if Windows10/8, set "Low Latency Mode"
			to "Off" at the same time (necessary to reflect the
			vertical sync off).
			For Windows7(Non-Aero) and earlier, it is recommended
			to set "Low Latency Mode" to "Ultra" to further
			reduce the display lag.
			
			"Ultra" at "Low Latency Mode" is recommended for Win7(
			non-Aero). On the contrary, please pay attention that
			"Off" at "Low Latency Mode" is recommended for Win10/8
			(in case of Ootake).
			* This situation may change depending on future driver
			  updates.

  Minimize & Pause	The window is minimized and Ootake stops temporarily.
		[F9]	If you restart, click the Ootake's icon on the
			taskbar.

  FullScreen		The full-screen mode and the window mode are switched

  FullScreen 640x480	It switches to the full-screen mode by the resolution

    Set FullScreen	The resolution at full-screen can be arbitrarily set.
          Resolution	The resolution is added to "Screen" menu when setting
                 <1-3>	it. It is possible to set it up to three kinds.

			- At Window mode, if the desktop display is 120-360Hz,
			  V-Sync will be performed automatically at 120-360Hz even
			  if this is not selected.

  Non-Stretched		The screen is not enlarged. The aspect ratio of the
			screen becomes a display different from the PC engine
			of a real machine. 
  Real Stretched	The aspect ratio of the screen is matched in the state
			to display TV with a real machine. 
  Full Stretched	At full-screen, the stretch is done even as for the
			edge of the screen.
			- The image quality falls a little because of the
			  enlargement. At TV-Mode, the scanlined display is
			  automatically released (To maintain the image
			  quality).
			(At window-mode this is similar to "Real Stretched".)
  Vertical Stretched	The aspect ratio of the screen is enlarged to the
			portrait. Use it in the length scroll shooting game
			etc.
  --------------------
  Remove Lag 1F		Remove display delay by Windows screen buffer up to
       (1 Frame only)	1 frame. Recommended setting.
  Remove Lag 0F		This does not do processing to eliminate display delay
       (Fast but Lag)	by Windows screen buffer. Please use this on a PC with
			few power such as model using graphics function built
			in CPU.
			Also, when capturing the Ootake play screen with video
			capture software, if frame dropping occurs, it may be
			resolved by selecting this menu.

  Window TopMost	When the check is removed, the display of the window
			on the foremost side is released.

*Audio
  Adjust CD-DA (for Sync)
    Adjust CD-DA	The timing value of the CD sound (CD-DA and ADPCM) is
            Auto Set	set automatically to match the sound to the picture.
            		The frequency of your display (rewrite frames a second
            		) is measured for that.
            		- The set completion is about 60 seconds. This setting
            		  is OK if it sets it only once first. If you newly
            		  buy a display and a video card of your PC, execute
            		  this menu again.
            		- Set it respectively in the window mode and the
            		  full-screen mode. (The timing value changes by the
            		  display resolution. The setting is individually
            		  preserved.)
			- Ootake also doesn't match to a game to which the
			  sound doesn't match with a real machine.
			- Some PC may not behave like a real machine because
			  the processing will be lost if the Windows or Video
			  Card is set to "Power Save mode". In that case,
			  please set "Maximum Performance mode" instead of
			  "Power Save mode".			  
    -----------------
    Adjust CD-DA	This is a menu that fine-tunes the tempo of CD sound
        V60.3-V59.4Hz	(CD-DA and ADPCM).
			*It is certain to set it automatically by "Adjust
			 CD-DA Auto Set" (above one) menu usually.
			*[Adjusting method]...Please confirm the frequency of
			 the display with Ootake started. The confirm method
			 of the frequency is different each the PC-display.
			 It is thought that there are "Information menu" etc.
			 and select it. Two kinds of frequencies of "H" and
			 "V" are displayed. Select a value that is the closest
			 to the frequency of the "V"(Vertical frequency) at
			 this menu.
			 - The frequency might not be able to be confirmed on
			   the display of the notebook computer. In that case,
			   please look for the best frequency feeling while
			   watching the operation of the game to which the
			   sound shifts (Note that there is a game to which
			   the sound originally shifts with a real machine,
			   too.). Decrease the frequency if the sound is
			   early, and increase the frequency if the sound is
			   delayed.
			 - This setting is separately preserved respectively
			   by the window mode and each resolution of the
			   full-screen mode.
    -----------------
    Adjust CD-DA
          Plus 0.00Hz	This is a setting of default.
    Adjust CD-DA	0.05Hz is added to the frequency set by "Adjust CD-DA"
          Plus 0.05Hz	menu above. Use it when you do a detailed setting.
    -----------------
    V-Sync (59-61Hz,	The flicker at screen scrolling etc. doesn't happen. (
            119-121Hz)	default, recommendation)
			In the environment to which the CD-DA sound source and
			the screen greatly shift, remove the check.
    -----------------
    CD-DA Delay Frame	Whether how much display delay of the liquid crystal
                 0-4	display of the personal computer exists is set. As a
			result, CD-DA(CD sound source) can be matched to
			graphic timing. (Default = The play timing of CD-DA is
			delayed by two frames.)
			Set it to 0 when you use the cathode-ray tube display
			without the display delay oppositely.

  Audio Buffer Size
    1.39-4.18		The amount of the buffer used when audio (PSG,CDDA,
      Frame Buffer	ADPCM) is output is decided.
			It becomes noisy when this is too few, and when this
			is too a lot of, the sound is delayed.
			* Setting this to 2.26 Frame or higher will
			  dramatically improve the sound quality.
			  Use only 2.09 Frames or less only with PC
			  environments where sound delays are a concern.

  NormalAudioBuffer	The audio buffer of a usual size is used.
  BigAudioBuffer	The amount of the buffer used when audio (PSG,CDDA,
			ADPCM) is output is enlarged, and the tone quality of
			PSG is improved. The sound is delayed about one
			second. Moreover, rewriting the screen is reduced and
			it concentrates on the sound processing. 
  Most BigAudioBuffer	An amount of the buffer that is much bigger than that
			of "BigAudioBuffer" is prepared, and the tone quality
			of PSG is improved. (The sound becomes a little
			quietly.)
  -------------------
  HES BigAudioBuffer	When this is checked, if the HES file (program for
			PCE's built-in sound, extension is ".hes") is opened,
			it is started with BigAudioBuffer mode(sound is
			delayed but stable processing with a large buffer and
			omitting the drawing).
  -------------------
  XAudio2		This is the default setting. Plays sound using
  (1st Recommend)	XAudio2 (compatible with Xbox360). The sound quality
			plays well with any type of song, and the sound is
			glossy. Depending on the environment such as an old
			PC, it may not be glossy, so DirectSound 7 is
			recommended at that time.
			And if the buffer size is the same level, the sound
			can be played with a lower delay than DirectSound.
  DirectSound7 Static	Play the sound using DirectSound7. The buffer is
  (2nd Recommend)	allocated statically. This is the oldest processing
			method, but the sound is glossy probably because it
			has not been tampered with. In my Windows10
			environment, the punch is a little less than XAudio2,
			so I say "2nd Recommend", but the sound resolution is
			higher, and I recommend this as well.
  DirectSound7 Stream	DirectSound7 is used to perform the sound. The buffer
  			is dynamically secured. It becomes a moderate sound a
  			little compared with Static(default).
  DirectSound9 Static	DirectSound9 is used to perform the sound. The buffer
			is secured statically. In this setting, the power of
			sound is large.
  DirectSound9 Stream 	DirectSound9 is used to perform the sound. The buffer
  			is dynamically secured. It becomes a moderate sound a
  			little compared with Static. In this setting, the
  			sound of CD-DA is beautiful. This setting was default
  			before v2.69.
			
			* This is a change only at playing. The WAV data of
			  the capture(Output WAV file) is the same.
  -------------------
  High Quality PSG	The pronunciation timing of the PSG sound (wave memory
			sound) is delimited in detail. As a result, a tone
			near a real machine is reproduced.
  A Little Light PSG	The pronunciation timing is made a little rough. As a
			result, the load to the personal computer is reduced.
  Light PSG		The reproducibility of the sound falls. However, the
			load to the personal computer is reduced. Select this

*Volume
  Temporary Volume
    Normal		Usually. It always returns to Normal when starting.
    3Quarters		The volume is lowered to the three quarters.
    Half		The volume is lowered to the half.
    Quarter		The volume is lowered to the quarter.
    Mute [F8]		It muffles it. [F8]key can be used.
			* When this "Temorary Volume" menu is used, tone
			  quality decreases a little. Using "Volume 100-10"
			  menu (that is below soon) recommends it usually.

  Use Window Default	The Windows volume of default is used. Ootake doesn't
			change the volume of Windows.
  Volume 120-10		The volume of Windows is changed. 120 is the maximum
   [PageUp][PageDown]	volume. It is possible to adjust it quickly also with
			[PageUp] and [PageDown]key of the keyboard.
			* If CD-Game is played, then "Volume 101-120" is the
			  volume equal to 100. (To stop saturation of sound)
			Use the resume ("File->Set Resume" menu), and the best
			volume at each game can be set.
  Step Setting 10-1	The accommodation amplitude of the volume control (
			At [PageUp][PageDown] key or Function Button ("Input->
			Configure Function Button" menu)) is set.
  Detail Volume
    Detail Volume Up
	[Ctrl+PageUp]	The volume of Windows is fine-tuned. It is possible to
    Detail Volume Down	adjust it quickly also with [PageUp] and [PageDown]key
      [Ctrl+PageDown]	while pressing the [Ctrl]key.
  Attention
    Read Attention of	It is a disclaimer for the "Windows Volume". Please
     this Volume Menu	read before changing the volume of Windows.

    Start "Windows	"Windows Volume Control" starts. If Ootake terminates
      Volume Control"	abnormally by any chance, the Windows WAVE volume can
			be adjusted by starting this. In that case, it is
			asked whether to shut Ootake. Please close Ootake, and
			adjust the Windows WAVE volume.

  Mute PSG
    Mute PSG		Each channel of the PSG sound source can be muffled.
	  Channe 1-6	At the Output WAV file, use it when you want to cut
			the shot sound or the jump sound, etc.

    Mute PSG		All PSG channels (1-6) are muffled.
	  Channe All	After this, use "Mute PSG Channe 1-6" menu. And what
  			sound the channel plays can be confirmed. 
    Unmute PSG		Muffling all PSG channels (1-6) is released.
	  Channe All	* Muffling each channel is automatically released by
			  changing the game, or resetting it (F1 key).

  Balance Setting	The balance of the volume is set. Master,PSG,ADPCM,
			CD-DA. Each balance can be set. Nearing to 100 falls
			and tone quality doesn't fall.
  Balance Default	The balance of the volume is returned to the default
			setting. 

*Speed
  Normal Video Speed	It is a PC engine real machine and most is the same
	  [BackSpace]	speed of Video.
  Video Speed		The progress speed (Video Speed) of the game can be
  x0.50-1.83   [Home]	adjusted. Use it when you want to play RPG that
	       [End]	walking is slow, and the action game with high
			difficulty, or more. When the "Always VideoSpeedUp"
			menu is selected, the speed is reflected at once.
			When the "Use VSpeedUp Button" menu is selected, the
			speed is reflected only while the button for
			fast-forwarding (set it by "Configure VSpeedUp Button"
			menu.) is being pressed.
			- The music of a built-in sound source might become
			  fast according to the game, too. If CPU power of
			  your personal computer is insufficient, it slows
			  oppositely. (It lightens comparatively when setting
			  to "FullScreen" mode.)
  -------------------
  Always VideoSpeedUp	It operates at the speed always selected by
	     [Insert]	"Video Speed". - If the button for fast-forwarding is
			pressed, it becomes a normal speed.
  Use VSpeedUp Button	The Video speed improves only when the button for
	     [Insert]	fast-forwarding is pressed. - If pressing while
			setting it slowly (less than 1.00 times), it becomes a
			normal speed.

  Configure VSpeedUp
	       Button	The button (or, key) for fast-forwarding is set.
  -------------------
  CPU Speed
    Normal CPU Speed	It is a PC engine real machine and most is the same
	 [BackSpace]	speed of CPU.
    CPU Speed		CPU operation clock of PC engine is raised to each
	 x0.50-3.00	magnification, and the speed improves. 
			The problem such as not suitable for the picture of
			the voice of the visual scene when it is too fast
			might happen.
			In the "Simulation Game" or "Slow Motion happens
			Game", Speed up is effective.
			- With a slow personal computer, the frame drops when
			  the speed is increased too much.
    CPU Speed		The clock doesn't change, and CPU processing of
	   TURBOx1-3	"PC Engine" is speed up. The load that hangs in the
			personal computer is less than the clock improves.
			The problem of the raster scroll might happen.
			The speed, "TURBOx1" is the same as about "x2.00",
			"TURBOx2" is the same as about "x4.00", "TURBOx3" is
			the same as about "x6.00".
    ----------------
    Set Present		The speed often used is set to the [Delete]key.
       Speed to		After sets, the speed and a normal speed can be
         [Delete]key	switched by pushing the [Delete]key.
			Regardless of the setting, the speed can be increased
			with the [Delete]key while pressing the [Shift]key.
			And, can be downed with the [Delete] key while
			pressing the [Ctrl]key.
  ------------------
  Unload Speed		The setting of VideoSpeedUp and CpuSpeedUp is not
        at LoadState	loaded at the time of the LoadState. (Default. This
			prepared for the case to mistake-push the speed change
			shortcut key([Home][End][Delete])).
  Load Speed		The setting of VideoSpeedUp and CpuSpeedUp is loaded(
        at LoadState	reflected) at the time of the LoadState. If the resume
			mode("File->Set Resume" menu) is used, use this to
			preserve the speed setting.
  ------------------
  Fast CD		Waiting time is not put in the access to CD-ROM, and
			it does by an access that is faster than a real
			machine. In the game that uses the access waiting time
			for the time work, remove this check. 
  Fast Seek		When a fast CD drive is used, the time of the CD seek
			is shortened. - When CD drive not fast is used, the
			noise might mix with a built-in sound source at the CD
			seek. In that case, leave the check removed (default).
  ------------------
  Help			The explanation of notes of the speedup (the same
			content as the above-mentioned) and shortcut keys
			(Insert, Home, End, Delete, and BackSpace key) is
			displayed.

  Connect
    2-Button Pad	Two button pad of PC Engine is connected.
    3-Button Pad	Three button pad of PC Engine is connected.
			(In Ootake, "[IIIr](=RUN) button" and "[IIIs](=SELECT)
			 button" are set and used.)
    3-Button Pad	Three button pad of PC Engine is connected.
           (I+II)	The difference from "3-button Pad" menu of the upper
			is as follows. The [IIIr] button press as [I]+[II]
			button. The [IIIs] button press as [RUN].
			In "Double Dragon II", "Super Darius", "Darius Plus"
			and so on, this setting is useful.
    6-Button Pad	Six button pad of PC Engine is connected.
    Mouse		"PC Engine Mouse" is connected.
			When mouse's wheel is rolled up, "SELECT" button is
			input. "RUN" button is input when rolling it below.
  Configure PCE Pad	The game pad or the keyboard of Windows is allocated
			in the pad #1-#5 of PC Engine. The setting is
			separately preserved with "two button pad", "three 
			button pad", and "six button pad".
			And, "Function button" is set. "Function Button" is a
			button to use a lot of functions with a Joypad. The
			following function can be used.
  Configure
  Other Buttons
    Configure		The shortcut key for "SaveState & LoadState" is
       Save&Load	changed. The allocation to the joypad is also
             Button	possible. Use this menu when you want to use the
			[S][L]key(default) because of other operations, too.

    Configure		The shortcut key for "Open Rom image file & Play 
        Open Button	FullInstalled CD-Game" is changed. The allocation to
			the joypad is also possible. Use this menu when you
			want to use the [O][P]key(default) because of other
			operations, too.

    Configure		The button (or, key) for Pause is set. Set this if do
       Pause Button	pause with a JoyPad.

    Initialize 		The setting of the pad is initialized and returns to
          Pad #1-#5	the state of default.

  TurboButton I [1]	The auto fire function of "I" button is set or is
			reset.
			- Everything becomes the same set from JoyPad 1 to 5.
			- It is possible to set it with [1]-[6] key of the
			  keyboard, too.
  TurboButton II [2]	The auto fire function of "II" button is set or is
			reset.
  TurboButton RUN [3]	The auto fire function of "RUN" button is set or is
			reset. In the game with the PAUSE function, it is
			possible to use it as a button for slow motion.

  TurboSpeed High [4]	The speed of the auto fire is made maximum speed.
			(default)
			- It becomes the speed common to all buttons set.
  TurboSpeed
	  Middle [5]	The speed of the auto fire is made middle speed.
  TurboSpeed Low [6]	The speed of the auto fire is made low speed.
  TurboSpeed Off [7]	When you set the button only for the auto fire (
			"Configure TurboButton" menu), the auto fire button
			can be off (it doesn't function as I&II button).

  Configure
  Function Button
    Configure		"Function button" is set. "Function Button" is a
      Function		button to use a lot of functions with a Joypad. The

    FuncButton +	When [UP] or [DOWN] of a Joypad cursor key is pushed
    [U][D][L][R]	while pressing the Function Button, the volume can be

			this button, remove the check.
    FuncButton +	When [SELECT] button of a Joypad setting is pushed
    [SEL] for		while pressing the Function Button, "Screenshot" can

			[PrintScreen] of a keyboard is pushed.) If you want to

			* When connecting 3-Button Pad, [IIIs] button is valid

    FuncButton +	When [RUN] button of a Joypad setting is pushed while
    [RUN] for		pressing the Function Button, you can select a game

			* When connecting 3-Button Pad, [IIIr] button is valid
			  as well as the [RUN] button.
			* When connecting 6-Button Pad, [III] button is valid
			  as well as the [RUN] button.
    FuncButton +	When "VSpeedUp Button"(set at "Speed->Configure
    [VSpeedUp] for	VSpeedUp Button" menu) is pushed while pressing the
           VSpeedUp	function button, the mode of VSpeedUp(video speed up)
			can be switched. It is possible to use it also for
			"Confirmation of the speed magnification" by pushing
			twice. (This is the same function as time when
			[Insert] of a keyboard is pushed.) If you want to
			invalidate this button, remove the check.
    Configure		"Save&LoadState button for Function Button" is set.
      Function		When this set button is pushed while pressing the
        Save&Load	Function Button, SaveState or LoadState can be done.
           Buttons	(This is the same function as time when [S][L] of a
			keyboard is pushed.) If you want to invalidate this
			button, push the [F1] key at the button setting
    			screen.

  Multi-Tap		It puts it into the state to connect "Multi-tap". 
  MB128			It puts it into the state to connect
			"Memory Base 128(Preservation device put on the market
			in Japan)".

  Swap SEL&RUN [8]	"SELECT" button is replaced with "RUN" button.

  Show Audio Channel	Displays a volume graph for each channel of the sound.
       Graph [9]&[0]	- Green graph        ... Wave Memory sound
			@Pink graph         ... Noise sound
			@Yellow graph       ... DDA Sampling sound
			@Orange graph       ... LFO Modulation sound
			@White (2nd right)  ... ADPCM (CD Game only)
			@Purple (1st right) ... CD-DA (CD Game only)
			* A channel whose graphs are "divided into left and
			  right halves" is a channel that is playing with
			  Stereo Sound.
			* You can also switch the display position and hide
			  it by pressing [9] and [0] (numeric keypad is
			  disabled) on the keyboard.

  Audio Channel Graph	Change the display position of the Audio Graph to the
       Left-Top [9]&[0]	upper left.

			keeps almost 60(occasional 59).
			When this frequently falls below 60, the processing
			speed of the personal computer is insufficient. In
			that case, please lighten the setting (
			"Audio->Light PSG" menu).
  PC Performance Test	Whether Ootake operates comfortably without the
			processing delay is checked.
			If "<<< Bad Condition [x]! >>>" is displayed, the
			processing delay has occurred. In that case, the
			trouble (in the game) might occur because the disk
			access timing is late when playing "CD-Game".
			- The test result is displayed based on the emulator
			  operation of "5 seconds immediately before the test
			  is executed".
			The weight of processing (test result) is considerably
			different according to the game and the scene. Test
			several times by a different scene.
			I will recommend comfortable play with the personal
			computer that always operates by "Good Condition".
			* Some PC may not behave like a real machine because
			  the processing will be lost if the Windows or Video
			  Card is set to "Power Save mode". In that case,
			  please set "Maximum Performance mode" instead of
			  "Power Save mode".
